From 14 to 17 March 2017 TWMCA Programme Director Dr. Caroline Milow had a working visit to Tajikistan, accompanied by the Regional Advisor of the Programme Mr. Alexandr Nikolayenko. Several meetings were planned with the high-level representatives of the ministries and departments of Tajikistan, including i) handing over the design and estimates package for the project in Laykkan Valley, developed by the Programme at the request of our partner, Agency of Land Reclamation and Irrigation under the Government of Tajikistan; ii) visit to the Tajik branch of ICWC Secretariat, where IT equipment and furniture was provided by the Programme last year; iii) participation in the National Conference “Water for Sustainable Development” supported by CAREC and USAID.
