Official Handover Ceremony in the Frame of EU Programme

Telecast channel ARD broadcasted special reportage on water shortage: Dr. Caroline Milow, Programme Director GIZ done interview in German language.

From 15 to 19 October 2019, Component 1 “National Policy Framework for Water Governance and Integrated Water Resources Management” jointly with Component 3 “Awareness raising” implemented by the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC) conducted an information tour for media representatives (State TV and radio channels, newspapers) to pilot facilities in Ferghana, Andijan and Kashkadarya regions.

Basin plans were developed and presented to the main stakeholders of Aksu and Shakhrikhansay basins during the last basin planning event which took place on November 5, 2019 in Tashkent.

Special trucks 🚜and equipment purchased within the EU funded Programme “Sustainable management of water resources in rural areas in Uzbekistan” handed over to the main partner of the EU-GIZ Joint Programme the Ministry of water resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
